500 Card Tournament

For 2026, Accueil francophone de Thunder Bay is once again organising a 500 card tournament for people aged 55 and over

When: Thursday 18 June, from 1pm to 3pm
Where: under the Magnus tent (Waverley Park)

E-gaming tournament

The BONJOUR Festival is delighted to organise a Mario Kart e-gaming tournament.

This is a tournament using the Switch version of Super Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, limited to 32 participants. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

When:
Qualifying matches – Thursday 18 June from 4pm to 5.30pm.
The finals – Saturday 20 June at 2.00 pm.
Entry fee: your entry is included in the BONJOUR Festival ticket price

Matches will take place without assistance, in groups of four players, in the 150cc category, on three randomly selected tracks, and will be shown on the festival’s big screens while the players are on stage.

The winner of each match will qualify for the semi-final, which will take place on Saturday 20 June at 2 pm. The winners of each semi-final will then compete in the final on the same day.

Players may bring their own controllers if they wish.

Registration by 17 June 2026 is preferred. On-site registration is also available.

3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

Do you like to move to the beat of something other than music? Then this tournament is for you!

Organised by Rebond Impact, this 3-on-3 basketball tournament promises fast-paced matches, plenty of action and a healthy dose of sportsmanship.

When: Saturday 20 June, from 1 pm to 4 pm
Where: Lakehead University’s Bora Laskin Faculty of Law Gymnasium, a stone’s throw from Waverley Park.
Who: Open to all ages
Entry fee: your participation is included in your festival ticket.

Three categories:

  • Adults (18 and over)
  • Youth (9 to 17 )
    Family (teams made up of members of the same family, all ages welcome)


    Registration is recommended by 18 June. A minimum of four teams per category is required. It will also be possible to register on the day, subject to availability.
